Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract with Liverpool to keep the Egyptian at Anfield for a further three years.
Although Liverpool’s official announcement doesn’t state how long the contract is for, reports from The Times state that Salah’s new £350k-a-week deal will keep him at the club until 2025.
The new deal makes Salah the highest-ever paid player at the club although it is below earlier reports that suggested the player was seeking a weekly wage of £400k.
Since arriving at Liverpool in 2017, the forward has played 254 games and scored 156 goals for the Reds. His time at the club has earned a Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League, Super Cup, and Club World Cup medal.
The contract is a boost to Jürgen Klopp’s team, who lost Sadio Mané to Bayern Munich this summer, with protracted talks over the new deal casting doubt on the player’s future.
