An eventful evening in the first round of the Carabao Cup, which saw three League Two sides upset three Championship sides.

In Bradford, Andy Cook scored twice just before half-time after an own goal from goalkeeper Harry Lewis as the Bantams came from behind to beat Hull City 2-1.

At Kenilworth Road Stadium, a late strike from James Waite saw Newport County complete an amazing comeback against Luton Town with a 3-2 win.

A much-changed Reading side was surprised by Stevenage, with Danny Rose firing the winner in the 89th minute as Steve Evans' side upset Paul Ince's men 2-1 at the Madejski Stadium.

Meanwhile, there were also interesting results across the round with a hammering from the newly-promoted to League One Exeter City, who thrashed Cheltenham 7-0 at the Completely Suzuki Stadium.

League Two side Colchester stunned local rivals Ipswich at Portman Road with a 1-0 win. Luke Hannant pounced a terrible pass across his own penalty box by Rakeem Harper.
