Reda Khedra's late matchwinner earned Sheffield United a 1-0 win at Swansea on Tuesday night - to send the Blades four points clear at the top of the Championship.
When the scene seemed set for a stalemate at the Liberty Stadium, substitute Khedra grabbed the headlines with the last kick of the game when he slid home after combining with Rhian Brewster.
Khedra's former club Blackburn moved to third in the table, meanwhile, with a 2-0 win over Watford. Ryan Hedges and Dominic Hyam scored their first-ever goals for Rovers either side of half-time to seal an impressive victory over the Hornets.
In the night's other action in the second tier, new Stoke boss Alex Neil grabbed his first win as Potters manager with a comprehensive 3-0 win at Hull, while Cardiff also scored three on the road as Steve Morison's side hung on to beat Middlesbrough 3-2. Wigan moved to eighth with a 2-1 win over struggling Huddersfield, the Latics overtaking Preston in the table after the Lilywhites surrendered an early lead to draw 1-1 with Burnley.
