William Saliba, Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira were on target as Arsenal moved back to the top of the Premier League with a comfortable 3-0 win over Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Action: The Gunners were keen to take the three points back to north London early in the game and dominated the game since the beginning.
Mikel Arteta's men took the lead on 17 minutes as Bukayo Saka's corner was headed into the far corner off the post by defender William Saliba.
Then 11 minutes later Gabriel Jesus doubled the visitors’ lead with a powerful header from an excellent Granit Xhaka cross.
Just after half-time, Arsenal added a third through Fabio Vieira, who scored his first Arsenal goal with a wonderful strike from 20 yards.
Brentford improved in the final moments, but couldn't create any clear cut chances and it was the visitors who were close to add a fourth through Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus, with bith attempts being denied by Bees goalkeeper David Raya.
On stoppage time, Mikel Arteta threw on 15-year-old Ethan Nwaneri as he became the youngest player in Premier League history.
Big Picture: With this result, Arsenal head into the international break atop the Premier League with a single point ahead of Man City and Tottenham.
After the international break, Brentford travel to Bournemouth, while Arsenal host rivals Tottenham Hotspur, with both games taking place on Saturday October 1.
xG: Brentford (0.41) 0-3 (1.50) Arsenal
Stat of the Day: Aged 15 years and 181 days, Ethan Nwaneri (born 2007) is the first player under the age of 16 ever to play in the Premier League. He surpasses Harvey Elliott (16y 30d) as the competition's youngest ever player.
