With a point needed from this meeting to seal promotion from Nations League B, Scotland got a hard fought goalless draw against Ukraine in Krakow and sealed promotion to the top tier of the Nations League - and a Euro 2024 play-off place.
A Scottish side filled with injuries and suspensions needed only a point to finish top of Group B1.
The Ukrainian side looked dangerous since the start and had a couple of chances only to be denied by Craig Gordon.
Scotland did have a penalty claim for a Taras Stepanenko handball in the box from a Ryan Fraser shot but it was overturned after a VAR check
In the second half, again the Scottish shot-stopper kept his goal intact after two great saves from Mykhailo Mudryk and Danylo Ihnatenko.
Steve Clarke's men battled until the end and earned a vital point which sealed Scotland top spot in Group B1.
