It’s a Monday, so it’s time for another round of the Playmaker Power Rankings! Every team wants to top the rankings and two get to share that distinction this week.
Surprisingly, this week there’s no Manchester City or Arsenal in the top ten so just who did it make it in?
Let’s find out...

Just sneaking into the Playmaker Power Rankings after three wins on the bounce are the Posh. Their recent record looks even better when you zoom out to the last ten Peterborough games: seven wins, two draws, and a defeat.
An own goal helped Grant McCann’s team earn a deserved win over Cambridge United over the weekend.
Peterborough aren’t in League One action again until the 12th of November with a weekend FA Cup game at home to Salford City next on the agenda.

A first appearance in the Power Rankings this season for Crawley Town thanks to caretaker manager Lewis Young, who is unbeaten in five games after three straight wins and draws against Colchester and Bradford City. James Tilley scored the equaliser for his fifth goal of the season.
Young is apparently under consideration for the permanent job, provided they don’t give it to a YouTuber first.

After two straight 1-1 draws in League One, the Owls returned to winning ways with a 4-2 victory over Burton Albion. Although it could have been five had Lee Gregory not missed a penalty.
With Ipswich dropping points in spectacular fashion, Wednesday are back within three points of the Tractor Boys and four points of league-leaders Plymouth Argyle.

Erik ten Hag had his defence to thank in the final ten minutes of Manchester United’s 1-0 win over West Ham at Old Trafford. At the other end, Marcus Rashford’s powerful header for his 100th goal for the club continued the forward’s return to form.
Next up for United is an important Europa League game in San Sebastián against Real Sociedad before two games in four days against Aston Villa.
100 goals for this special club! I’ve been here since I was 7 years old and came through every single age group and played on every single pitch so I want to thanks all the staff, my family and team mates that have helped make this achievement possible 💯 pic.twitter.com/GRplZmcY4y

Millwall couldn’t make it five wins in a row last weekend against a Huddersfield Town team who looked a bit more like their former selves with Yuta Nakayama scoring the only goal of the game.
Still, the good run by Gary Rowett’s team has propelled them to eight in the table, just two points from a play-off spot. Next, the Lions travel to Birmingham City in their midweek fixture to try to get back to winning ways.

Since losing to fellow promoted team Grimsby Town, the Hatters have gone on to four superb wins in a row in all competitions. In their last four games, Stockport have defeated League One side Shrewsbury Town in the EFL Trophy before league victories over Salford City, Carlisle United, and last weekend over Sutton United.
In that quartet of games, Stockport haven’t conceded a single goal. They have the opportunity to make it five on the trot against Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday evening.

After alternating between a win and a defeat, Rovers have now managed to get rid of some of those ‘L’s in their form guide with four wins in a row.
Sammie Szmodics scored the only goal of the game against Hull City that saw them – until local rivals Burnley scored a late equaliser – go top of the Championship. Perhaps what’s most incredible is seeing a team that has lost seven league games just two points off the top. That’s more defeats than Coventry City, who are in the relegation zone.

Argyle don’t play their game until tonight, the Devon derby against Exeter City. But since last week’s Power Rankings, Plymouth did manage a 2-1 win at home to Shrewsbury Town. Yet another home win for Steven Schumacher’s team, who will be hoping they keep their 100% record up against the Grecians.
A win would also increase Argyle’s lead at the top of League One to four points following Ipswich’s dramatic 4-4 draw on Saturday.

The Clarets left it late at Turf Moor but eventually found a last-gasp winner thanks to Anass Zaroury at the death. The result means Vincent Kompany’s team stay at the top of the Championship and extend their unbeaten run to 16 games in all competitions.
That impressive record will be tested over the next weekend as Burnley host Rotherham United on Wednesday before travelling to Bramall Lane to take on a team that was top of the Championship not too long ago, Sheffield United.

Eddie Howe’s team made light work of Aston Villa at St James’ Park, enjoying a 4-0 win. Callum Wilson with a brace and Miguel Almirón proving that he doesn’t score simple goals once again.
The Magpies have still lost just once all season and have won five of their last six games. After 13 matches, Newcastle are fourth in the league, seven points behind leaders Arsenal. Is it time to consider them title contenders?
