Arsenal delivered a stunning performance to beat Bayern Munich 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium, securing a spot in Women's Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2013.
Having lost 1-0 to Bayern in the first leg in Germany last week, Arsenal put in a dominant display in front of a record crowd for a women's European match in England (21,307).
Frida Maanum opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a sublime finish into the top corner, after a clever flick from Leah Williamson set her up.
The hosts continued to press relentlessly, and Stina Blackstenius doubled their lead with a close-range header.
Lotte Wubben-Moy came close to adding a third with a cross that clipped the crossbar, but Bayern goalkeeper Maria Luisa Grohs made several impressive saves to keep the scoreline down.
In the second half, Bayern piled more pressure, with Lina Magull coming closest to scoring when her header bounced narrowly wide off Arsenal defender Rafaelle Souza.
However, Arsenal's first-half display proved too much for Bayern to overcome, and the Gunners secured a memorable victory in European competition.
The win keeps Arsenal in contention for three trophies this season, and they will look to carry their impressive form into the semi-finals of the Champions League.
