Manchester United began their pre-season preparations in a positive manner, securing a 2-0 victory against rivals Leeds United in Oslo.
The match showcased a total of 44 players from both teams, with Noam Emeran and Joe Hugill emerging as the difference makers for the Red Devils during the second half.
One of the highlights of the game was the debut of summer signing Mason Mount, who came close to scoring a remarkable goal on his first appearance, when he won possession in an advanced position and attempted an lovely chip, but unfortunately, the ball narrowly missed the target.
In addition to Mount, Lisandro Martinez, Jadon Sancho, and Raphael Varane were among other senior players, were given an opportunity to play before significant changes were made during half time by Erik ten Hag.
Several young players eager to make an impression before the club's upcoming tour to the United States were brought on as substitutes, and two of them made their mark on the scoresheet.
Noam Emeran opened the scoring with a superb finish, and he later provided an excellent assist to Joe Hugill, who doubled the team's lead.
Manchester United's pre-season will continue with a match against Lyon in Edinburgh next week.
