Everton secured their first Premier League victory of the season after beating Brentford 3-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The visitors took the lead early in the game, with Abdoulaye Doucoure scoring a powerful goal after a header from James Tarkowski set him up.
Shortly after, Doucoure came close to scoring again, hitting the crossbar with a strong strike after an impressive run.
On the half-hour mark, the Bees levelled when Mathias Jensen fired a low shot into the net from the right side of the area, hitting the far post.
In the second half, the Tofees continued to look more promising, and they sealed the victory with two goals in just four minutes.
James Tarkowski headed the Toffees back into the lead from a corner on the right in the 67th minute. Then, substitute Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored his first goal since May with a composed finish past Mark Flekken.
This result has pushed Sean Dyche's side up to the 15th position, securing their first win in six attempts. Meanwhile, Thomas Frank's men has dropped to 12th place and has now lost two consecutive games after starting the season unbeaten in their first four.
Next up, Brentford will take on Arsenal for the Carabao Cup at home on Wednesday, while Everton will face Aston Villa in the same competition on the same night.
