Ten-man Sevilla squandered a 2-0 lead and suffered a 3-2 defeat at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán against PSV, effectively ending their chances of progressing to the UEFA Champions League knockout stages.
The hosts went in front with a goal from defender Sergio Ramos in the 24th minute, and Youssef En-Nesyri extended their lead by chipping the ball over the goalkeeper two minutes into the second half.
However, the momentum of the game shifted dramatically when Sevilla's Lucas Ocampos received two yellow cards in the span of three minutes, leading to his send off in the 66th minute.
With the extra man, PSV capitalised with Ismael Saibari scoring a superb volley in the 68th minute to bring them back into the game. The Dutch side levelled the score with an own goal by defender Nemanja Gudelj in the 81st minute.
In stoppage time, Ricardo Pepi's header secured a comeback victory for PSV, propelling them to second place in Group B with eight points as they are one point behind leaders Arsenal, who have a game in hand and will face Lens, positioned third with five points, later on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Sevilla finds themselves at the bottom of the group with two points.
