Qatar booked their place in the Asian Cup semi-finals after a penalty shoot-out victory over Uzbekistan.
The hosts took the lead in the 27th minute when Uzbekistan goalkeeper Utkir Yusupov attempted to stop Hassan Al Haydos' cross. But Yusupov's attempted interception only diverted the ball into his own net – an unlucky moment for the shot-stopper.
Uzbekistan deserve credit for getting back into the game and they got their equaliser with just under an hour gone in the game.
Odil Khamrobekov pounced on a loose ball and drove forward, firing a low effort that Meshaal Barsham couldn't keep out.
Another half hour of regular time and a further 30 minutes of extra-time couldn't find a winner in this one.
Goalkeeper Barsham was the hero for Qatar in the shoot-out, saving three Uzbek penalties and ensuring that his side progress to the semi-finals where they will face Iran on Wednesday.
The winner of that will then take on either Jordan or South Korea next Saturday.
