Tottenham Hotspur missed the chance to move into the top four after being defeated by an energetic Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Rodrigo Muniz was the man for the Cottagers once again with two goals against Spurs in this game but he could have had more. The Brazilian would have opened the scoring even sooner had he made a better connection with a backheel attempt from Antonee Robinson's cross early in the game.
The visitors were not quite as effective as Fulham going forward but they certainly had chances during the game. James Maddison saw his effort go narrowly wide when he was found with space inside the box.
The opening goal eventually came just before the break. The impressive Robinson was again instrumental down the left and this time his cross for Muniz was converted by the in-form forward.
Marco Silva's side doubled their lead early into the second period. Timothy Castagne was close to the byline as he crossed the ball in for Sasa Lukic to convert with an improvised finish and seal his first Fulham goal in his 34th appearance.
The three points were sealed in the 61st minute when Muniz was in the right place to bundle home a rebound after Calvin Bassey had a close-range effort saved by Guglielmo Vicario.
It was almost four soon after when João Palhinha fired an effort into the roof of the net but the goal was ruled out due to Raúl Jiménez interfering from an offside position.
Spurs eventually finished the game without scoring – the first time in a league game under Ange Postecoglou – but it was not because of a lack of chances.
Both Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner had brilliant chances to reduce the deficit from just yards out but the pair fluffed their lines and summed up Spurs' evening.
The result means that Spurs stay two points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa and six ahead of Manchester United. Fulham meanwhile remain in 12th position in the Premier League but move closer to Chelsea and Newcastle United ahead of them.
