Harvey Barnes scored two late goals to lead Newcastle in a dramatic comeback, overturning a 3-1 deficit to beat West Ham 4-3 in a thrilling match at St James' Park.
The Magpies got off to a flying start, taking the lead within the first six minutes from the penalty spot. Alexander Isak converted the spot-kick after Vladimir Coufal fouled Anthony Gordon.
Michail Antonio equalised for the Hammers in the 21st minute, capitalising on a precise pass from Lucas Paqueta.
Just before half-time, David Moyes' men took the lead with Mohammed Kudus scoring from a quick free-kick, assisted by Jarrod Bowen.
In the second half, Kudus turned provider setting up Jarrod Bowen, who extended West Ham's lead with a fierced shot past Martin Dubravka.
Despite facing injuries to Tino Livramento and Miguel Almiron, the hosts refused to give up as they staged a remarkable late comeback, scoring three goals in the final 15 minutes.
In the 77th minute, Isak converted another penalty after a foul on Gordon from Kalvin Phillips, before turning provider to set up Harvey Barnes for the equaliser six minutes later.
Barnes then secured victory with a magnificent curling shot from outside the box in the 90th minute, sending St James' Park into eruption.
Eddie Howe's side had to endure a tense finish after Gordon was sent off, but they held on to claim all three points, moving up to eighth in the Premier League table, just one point behind seventh-placed West Ham.
