Dortmund take slender advantage to Paris

Niclas Füllkrug netted a first-half goal, securing a 1-0 win over Paris St Germain in the Champions League semi-final first leg at Signal Iduna Park.

The early exchanges were cautious, but momentum shifted as Dortmund pressed forward.

Gianluigi Donnarumma denied Marcel Sabitzer's close-range effort, while Ousmane Dembele narrowly missed against his former team.

The German side broke the deadlock in the 36th minute, after a precise long ball from Nico Schlotterbeck, found Fullkrug, who timed his run perfectly, controlled the ball before slotting home past Donnarumma.

The visitors came close to levelling the score early in the second half, with Kylian Mbappe hitting the post and in the rebound Achraf Hakimi struck the woodwork again.

Dortmund's response was thwarted by missed opportunities from Julian Brandt and Fullkrug.

PSG continued to push forward, with Mbappe and substitute Randal Kolo Muani testing Dortmund's defence, but the hosts held firm, with Gregor Kobel making crucial saves.

Despite late chances for both teams, Dortmund secured the victory and will carry their lead to Paris for the second leg next week.

As a loyal Dortmund fan, I have to say that this win over PSG was simply amazing! The team really showed their gratitude towards each other and their fans with that goal from Füllkrug. It was a tough match, but we persevered and came out on top. Can't wait for the second leg!

As a football fan of Dortmund, it was an intense game against PSG. Füllkrug's goal was perfectly timed and well-deserved. Donnarumma's saves were impressive, but our attacks were relentless. Mbappe's near miss had me on the edge of my seat, but thankfully we held on for the win.

As a dedicated fan of Dortmund, I couldn't be more proud of our team's performance in the Champions League semi-final first leg against PSG. Füllkrug's goal was a thing of beauty and showed our eagerness to prove ourselves on the big stage. Donnarumma was no match for us and we dominated the game. Let's keep up the momentum in the second leg!

Great start for Dortmund! Füllkrug with a clinical finish, showing PSG what they're missing. Donnarumma with some great saves, but Dortmund's attack is looking sharp. Let's keep this momentum going boys!
