Sporting Lisbon were crowned Portuguese champions for the 20th time in their history after Benfica's 2-0 defeat against Famalicão on Sunday.
The Lions eased past Portimonense with a 3-0 victory on Saturday and were on the brink of winning the title.
They would have been crowned champions next Saturday if they avoided defeat against Estoril, but Famalicão's victory helped and anticipated Sporting's celebrations.
This marks Ruben Amorim's second league title in four years in charge of Sporting Lisbon.
Former Coventry striker Victor Gyokeres played a key role in this title after scoring 27 goals and providing nine assists in 31 league games.
Sporting can now add the Portuguese Cup to their season if they defeat FC Porto on May 27.
