Academy graduate Angel Gomes scored Manchester United's matchwinner, as they beat Premier League rivals Tottenham 2-1 in a feisty International Champions Cup clash in Shanghai.
Gomes slotted home from an acute angle to score his first senior goal for the Red Devils, who taken the lead through Anthony Martial before being pegged back by a deflected equaliser from Spurs' Lucas Moura.
Remarkably, Gomes' goal means that all nine of United's goals during their four-match tour of Australia and Asia have been scored or assisted by a player developed in their youth ranks.
Some of the gloss was taken off their victory, however, as defender Eric Bailly was stretchered from the field after what appeared to be a serious ankle injury.
Martial had put United in front, from Andreas Pereira's cute through-ball, with a shot that squeezed through Paulo Gazzaniga's legs.
However, Spurs responded well after the break and were back on level terms when Moura's shot from the edge of the box was deflected past Sergio Romero in the United goal.
With penalties on the horizon, Gomes proved to be the matchwinner, the 18-year-old England youth international beating two men in the box and firing home from a tight angle.
