Arsenal staged a comeback from a one-goal deficit to clinch a 3-1 victory at Villa Park.
After their title aspirations took a hit with a 3-1 loss to Chelsea last week, Arsenal found themselves trailing in the 35th minute following Ebony Salmon's goal.
The Gunners intensified their pressure in the second half and eventually levelled the score in the 54th minute, with Victoria Pelova capitalising on a rebound after goalkeeper Anna Leat saved Alessia Russo's attempt.
The visitors relentlessly pursued a winning goal, with Frida Maanum and Russo both hitting the woodwork.
Their persistence paid off as Lotte Wubben-Moy's header in the 84th minute and Stina Blackstenius' late goal in the 86th minute secured a crucial victory for Arsenal ahead of their League Cup final against Chelsea next week.
With five league matches remaining, Arsenal find themselves trailing both Chelsea and Manchester City by six points.
