Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of Lena Oberdorf from Wolfsburg with the midfielder set to join for the 2024/25 season.
Oberdorf is one of Europe's most talented midfielders with the Bavarian side beating the likes of Chelsea and other big clubs for her signature.
The 22-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year deal that will keep her at the club until the end of the 2027/28 season.
"I had good conversations with head coach Alexander Straus and department head Bianca Rech and I really liked the club's vision of what you want to achieve in the next few years," the German international said about her move.
"I was also shown where my potential lies and what can still be got out of me. I don't think I'm a complete player – but I want to get there. I will continue to give everything for VfL Wolfsburg until summer and I am looking forward to the new challenge."
Intriguingly, Oberdorf could face her new club before the end of the season when second-place Wolfsburg host first-place Bayern in March with just a single point currently separating the two sides.
