After two seasons away from the Premier League, Bournemouth are back in the top flight after edging past Nottingham Forest with a 1-0 win at Vitality Stadium.
Heading to this game, Bournemouth held a three-point advantage over third-placed Nottingham Forest, which meant only a point would be enough to take them back to the Premier League.
Substitute Kieffer Moore scored the only goal of the game, via a smartly worked free kick, which found him unmarked in the box and the Welsh international slotted past Brice Samba from close range, with just seven minutes from time.
The win means a return to the top flight for Scott Parker's men following a two-year absence after relegation in the pandemic-affected 2019/20 campaign.
The Cherries will be joined by Fulham, who sealed the Championship title on Monday night with an impressive 7-0 win over Luton, along with the winner of the play-offs.
Steve Cooper's men entered the game knowing that a win would put them in front on goal difference and in charge of their own fate heading into the final round of fixtures, but will now have to settle for a place in the playoffs.
