Tuesday's Premier League tie between Brentford and Manchester United has been postponed after the Old Trafford club confirmed an outbreak of positive cases among players and staff.
The decision was made "following guidance from medical advisers due to the exceptional circumstances" of the outbreak, according to a Premier League statement.
Earlier on Monday, United ceased operations at their Carrington training ground in order to cut the risk of further infections.
Over the past week, 42 players and staff have tested positive in the English top flight.
Brighton, Tottenham, Leicester, Aston Villa and Norwich have all reported confirmed cases - with the Seagulls' Sunday clash against Spurs already postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak at the north London club.
"Given cancellation of training and disruption to the squad, and with the health of players and staff the priority, the club requested the match to be rearranged," said the Red Devils in a statement released late on Monday night.
"The Premier League Board took the decision to postpone based on guidance from medical advisors," it added.
The league says tonight's clash will be rescheduled "in due course".
