Chelsea have lost more ground in the race for the Premier League top four after being held to a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Raheem Sterling put Chelsea ahead in the 16th minute, after Willy Boly's attempt of a clearance looped up towards his own goal, hit the crossbar and landed on a plate for Sterling to volley home from close range.
The hosts reacted well and created enough chances to level the game.
Five minutes into the second half, Brennan Johnson forced Kepa into a fine save and shortly after Morgan Gibbs-White rattled the crossbar with tremendous effort from the edge of the penalty area.
But with 63 minutes played, the leveller eventually came through Serge Aurier, who steered a volley past Kepa after Chelsea failed to clear a corner.
Forest appeared happy to settle for a point as the game ticked towards full-time and Chelsea failed to take the three points back to London.
With this result, both teams rise a position as Chelsea are up to eighth, while Forest are now third-bottom.
Next up, Nottingham Forest take on Southampton at St Mary's on Wednesday, while Chelsea's next outing is against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.
