Nottingham Forest return to the top division of English football after a 23-year wait, following a 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town in the Championship Playoff Final at Wembley.
Action: In a game worth about £170m, Forest started better and got their breakthrough right before half-time when James Garner whipped in a vicious shot that Levi Colwill turned into his own net.
In the second-half, the Terriers became more dangerous but struggled to create any big chances to level the game.
There were two moments where Huddersfield thought they could level the game, firstly when Jack Colback clipped the heels of Harry Toffolo in the box, but it was ruled a dive and Toffolo was cautioned following a VAR check. Moments later, Lewis O'Brien went down under contact of Max Lowe, referee Jon Moss waved to play on.
Stece Cooper's men held on for a narrow victory and will now re-take their place in the Premier League for the first time since 1999.
Big Picture: After starting the season with six defeats in seven games, Nottingham Forest completed a sensational turnaround which sees them getting promoted to the Premier League after a 23-year wait.
Steve Cooper's appointment was crucial to Forest's fortunes after taking over from the sacked Chris Hughton in September.
