It’s the women’s transfer deadline and Manchester United could be set to have the busiest day of all the WSL teams with the Red Devils linked to several transfers.
Goalkeeper Mary Earps is expected to stay at the club despite interest from Arsenal but United could still recruit a shot-stopper with OL Reign goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce linked with a move to Manchester.
That move is more likely to happen should Sophie Baggaley leave on loan with Brighton among those said to be interested in the player. Should Baggaley leave and no goalkeeper be signed that would leave 18-year-old Safia Middleton-Patel as the only backup to Earps.
The Red Devils are also expected to complete the signing of Everton defender Gabby George. The club have reportedly paid the £150,000 release clause for the former United youth product.
Vilde Bøe Risa recently departed the United for Atlético Madrid but the Manchester club could get another Atlético midfielder in return should a move for Irene Guerrero go through.
Meanwhile, Brazilian forward Ivana Fuso has already completed a permanent move to Birmingham City after spending last year at Bayer Leverkusen with the Blues paying a club-record fee.
Finally, up top Martha Thomas is expected to move to Tottenham Hotspur after Beth England’s injury with United then potentially bringing in Lyon striker Melvine Malard in what could wrap up a very busy day at Carrington.
