Dominic Solanke is on Newcastle United's radar with the club making an enquiry into the availability of the player.

According to Mike McGrath of The Telegraph, Solanke has been a target of manager Eddie Howe for some time.

The 26-year-old has been a key part of Andoni Iraola's team this season as Bournemouth look to secure their place in the Premier League. The former Liverpool man has scored 12 times in 19 Premier League games this season.s

Understandably then, the Cherries are reluctant to let their star man go meaning that the player is unlikely to leave the club during the winter.

Solanke currently has a long-term at Dean Court which means that if Newcastle do want the player they may have to fork out a large fee to secure his services.

Disappointing to hear that Solanke is not likely to leave Bournemouth during the winter transfer window. He's been a crucial player for them this season and it's understandable that they don't want to let him go. Hopefully we can find another striker option instead.

Great news! Solanke has been on fire for Bournemouth this season and with his long-term contract, it's going to take a big offer for anyone to even consider letting him go. Let's hope Newcastle can come up with the goods and add some much needed depth to their squad

As a football fan, I am absolutely buzzing at the thought of Solanke potentially joining Newcastle United! He has been in such great form for Bournemouth this season and I think he would be a fantastic addition to our squad. The fact that he has been a target of Eddie Howe for some time shows just how highly rated he is. However, it's going to be tough to convince Bournemouth to let him go, especially with his impressive goal-scoring record. But hey, who knows,
