Dominic Solanke is on Newcastle United's radar with the club making an enquiry into the availability of the player.
According to Mike McGrath of The Telegraph, Solanke has been a target of manager Eddie Howe for some time.
The 26-year-old has been a key part of Andoni Iraola's team this season as Bournemouth look to secure their place in the Premier League. The former Liverpool man has scored 12 times in 19 Premier League games this season.s
Understandably then, the Cherries are reluctant to let their star man go meaning that the player is unlikely to leave the club during the winter.
Solanke currently has a long-term at Dean Court which means that if Newcastle do want the player they may have to fork out a large fee to secure his services.
