The Premier League has announced the nominees for its year-end awards with the shortlists for Player of the Season, Manager of the Season, and Young Player of the Season.
Erling Haaland will be viewed as an early favourite for Player of the Season with the Norwegian joined alongside teammate Kevin De Bruyne. Arsenal also have two stars making the shortlist with Bukayo Saka and captain Martin Odegaard also featured.
Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, and Kieran Trippier round out the list of seven candidates for the award.
Three players from the Player of the Season shortlist are also eligible for Young Player of the Season with both Haaland, Odegaard, and Saka meeting the criteria of being 23 or under at the start of the season.
The two Arsenal players join Gabriel Martinelli on the list and there’s room for two players from Brighton & Hove Albion with Moisés Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister featuring as well as a pair of Magpies in Sven Botman and Alexander Isak.
Those nominations mean that the list for the Young Player of the Season award is made up of just three clubs.
Naturally, there’s more variety for Manager of the Season with Mikel Arteta, Roberto De Zerbi, Unai Emery, Pep Guardiola, Eddie Howe, and Marco Silva all in the running for the gong.
Fans are able to vote for their winners of the award from now until Monday 22nd May with the winner to be announced on the 30th.
