Rangers booked their spot in the Champions League group stages for the first time since 2010 with a 1-0 win to make it 3-2 on aggregate.
It was an even game between two similarly-matched teams. However, it was Giovanni van Bronckhorst who had the cutting edge in Eindhoven.
Tom Lawrence almost opened the scoring in the 56th minute when the Welsh international did well to shimmy and find space just outside the PSV area. However, Lawrence’s effort cannoned off Wálter Benítez’s crossbar.
Rangers didn’t have to wait long to find their goal though and it was through a huge mistake at the back from the Dutch side.
André Ramalho’s poor touch just in front of his goal meant that he was robbed by Malik Tillman. The on-loan Bayern Munich player then fed in Antonio Colak to tap into an empty net.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s team tried their best to get an equaliser but despite the best efforts of Cody Gakpo and co., they couldn’t find their way past the excellent Jon McLaughlin.
Rangers will find out what Champions League group they will be in when the draw is made on Thursday afternoon.
