England will have Sarina Wiegman back in the dugout in this evening’s quarter-final clash with Spain after the manager recovered from Covid.
Wiegman has now tested negative and is ready to resume all of her roles after assistant coach Arjan Veurink took charge for England’s 5-0 victory over Northern Ireland.
England take on Spain in Brighton at the Amex Stadium in a clash between two of the tournament’s favourites. The Lionesses have looked like potential champions so far, especially following their 8-0 hammering of Norway.
Spain meanwhile are missing some key players but nevertheless are still a real threat to England. La Roja finished second in Group B, three points behind Germany.
Sarina will return to all elements of her role & will take her place on the bench for tonight’s quarter-final against Spain 👊
