He may now be 37-years-old, but age has certainly not dulled Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy's goalscoring instincts.
The former England international fired home a double last night, as the already-promoted Foxes recorded a 3-0 win away at Preston North End to secure the Championship title.
Vardy's 17th and 18th league goals of the season sank the Lilywhites with 22-year-old Kasey McAteer adding a third goal to set the seal on a fantastic evening at Deepdale and a superb season for Leicester - Enzo Maresca's side bouncing back into the Premier League at the first time of asking after their relegation from the top flight in 2022/23.
Although striker Vardy's game-time has been more limited this season, he has still managed to have an incredible impact on Leicester's promotion campaign - and his brace last night means he has averaged a goal every 94 minutes this term in the second tier.
Incredibly, of players to score 10+ goals this season, Vardy has the most prolific strike rate across the entire top four tiers - even the likes of Premier League hotshot Erling Haaland (105 minutes per goal) trailing in his wake.
