Benfica overcame Eintracht Frankfurt, 4x2, on Thursday, in a match relating to the quarter-finals of Europa League. João Félix was the man of the match.
After 20 minutes, Evan N’Dicka left the game early after seeing a red card. In the 21st minute, João Félix opened the score for Benfica, from the penalty spot. After 40 minutes, Luka Jovic struck for Eintracht Frankfurt, with a right-foot shot inside the box, with Ante Rebic making the assist. Shortly before the interval, João Félix fired home Bruno Lage's team second goal, with a right-foot strike from outside the penalty box, assisted by Franco Cervi.
In the 50th minute, Rúben Dias doubled the lead for Lisboa's team, from a corner. João Félix completed the hat-trick, with a right-foot shot, laid on by Álex Grimaldo, with 54 minutes on the clock. Gonçalo Paciência netted the last goal in the 72nd minute from a corner.
