Heerenveen defeated AZ Alkmaar in a close win on Thursday, 3x2, in a match relating of Eredivisie.

The first goal was scored by Sydney van Hooijdonk after 58 minutes. In the 59th minute, Hakon Evjen fired home for AZ Alkmaar, laid on by Fredrik Midtsjo. With 65 minutes on the clock, Vangelis Pavlidis fired home Pascal Jansen's team second goal, assisted by Dani de Wit. In the closing stages of the game, Amin Sarr struck the second goal for Heerenveen, assisted by Rami Hajal. Tibor Halilovic scored the winner in the final minutes of the game. With this goal, Tibor Halilovic recorded his five goal this season.
