Bolton Wanderers defeated Crewe Alexandra, 4x1, on Tuesday, in a match relating to the Grp.B of the EFL Trophy. Both Bolton's team and Crewe's team played their first game in the competition. Dion Charles made a tremendous game.
The first goal was scored by Amadou Bakayoko in the 5th minute. After 16 minutes, Baker-Richardson fired home for Crewe Alexandra.
In the 61st minute, key moment of the game, when Dion Charles came on. After 78 minutes, forward fired home Bolton Wanderers second goal, assisted by Elias Kachunga. In the closing stages of the game, Bolton's team increased their lead with a goal from Kieran Sadlier. In the 89th minute, Dion Charles wrapped things up, laid on by Jack Iredale.
With regard to the next fixture, Bolton Wanderers will play away against Tranmere Rovers, whilst Crewe Alexandra will play at home against Leeds United.
