Colchester defeat Brighton & Hove Albion

Colchester beat Brighton & Hove Albion in a close win on Tuesday, 2x1, in a match relating to the Grp.A of the EFL Trophy. Both Wayne Brown's team and Andrew Crofts's team held their first game in the competition.

Shortly before the interval, Andy Moran opened the scoring for Brighton & Hove Albion, laid on by Cameron Peupion.
