Newcastle lose out to Barnsley

Barnsley edged out Newcastle, 2x0, on Tuesday, in a match relating to the Grp.E of the EFL Trophy.

The first-half ended without any goals.

Sub Jack Butterfill, after 71 minutes, changed the course of the game. Midfielder opened the score in the 79th minute. Ziyad Larkèche netted the last goal with 85 minutes on the clock.

With regard to the next fixture, Barnsley will play away against Doncaster Rovers, whilst Newcastle visit Lincoln City.
