Senegal overcame Qatar, 1x3, on Friday, in a match relating to the Grp.A of the World Cup. Both Qatar's national team and Aliou Cissé's team played their first game in the competition.
Boulaye Dia opened the score with 41 minutes on the clock, with a right-foot strike inside the box.
After the break, Famara Diédhiou struck the second goal for Senegal, from a corner. In the 78th minute, Mohamed Muntari struck for Qatar, through a header. After 84 minutes, Bamba Dieng scored the last goal of the match, with a right-foot shot inside the penalty box.
In the next fixture, Senegal will play against Ecuador. Meanwhile, Qatar will play against Netherlands.
