In an unfortunate moment James Connolly scored an own goal after the break. After the break, Morecambe extended their lead with a goal from Donald Love. In the 62nd minute, Derek Adams's team increased their lead with a goal from Cole Stockton. After 64 minutes, Scott Sinclair had a golden opportunity on his feet to score but missed a penalty. In the closing stages of the game, Adam Mayor doubled the lead for Morecambe. Aaron Collins netted the last goal in the final minutes of the game.
