FC Porto defeated FC Famalicão in a close win on Thursday, 3x2, in a match relating to the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup. Sérgio Conceição's team beat João Pedro Sousa's team, 2x1, in the first leg of the tie.
The first goal was scored by Jhonder Cádiz after 21 minutes. With 28 minutes on the clock, Wenderson Galeno fired home for FC Porto, from the penalty spot.
In the 75th minute, Iván Jaime struck the second goal for FC Famalicão, with a right-foot strike inside the penalty box. With this strike, Iván Jaime reached 10th goals for the season.
After 120 minutes, Otávio scored the second goal for Sérgio Conceição's team, with a left-foot strike. Otávio reaching the landmark of five goals for the season. In the closing stages of the game, the Dragões saw Sérgio Conceição get a straight red card Evanilson netted the last goal in the final minutes of the game with a right-foot shot inside the penalty area.
Thanks to this result, FC Porto are through to the next round of the competition. In relation to forthcoming league matches, the Dragões will play against SC Braga.
