Zrinjski Mostar edged out AZ Alkmaar in a fantastic win on Thursday, 4x3, in a match relating to the Grp.E of the Europa Conference League. Both Krunoslav Rendulic's team and Pascal Jansen's team played their first game in the competition. Zvonimir Kozulj runned the show.
With 10 minutes on the clock, Myron Van Brederode opened the scoring for AZ Alkmaar. After 32 minutes, Pascal Jansen's team extended their lead with a goal from Sven Mijnans. Shortly before the interval, AZ Alkmaar increased their lead with a goal from Dani de Wit.
After the break, Zvonimir Kozulj fired home for Zrinjski Mostar. In the 68th minute, Josip Corluka scored the second goal for Krunoslav Rendulic's team. With 71 minutes on the clock, Aldin Hrvanovic struck for Zrinjski Mostar. Zvonimir Kozulj netted the last goal after 81 minutes.
In the next fixture, Zrinjski Mostar will play away against Aston Villa, whilst AZ Alkmaar will host Legia Warszawa.
