Brighton & Hove Albion defeated Sheffield United, 2x5, on Saturday, in a match relating of the FA Cup. João Pedro was the man of the match.
Facundo Buonanotte opened the score after 14 minutes, with a left-foot shot from outside the penalty box. In the 29th minute, João Pedro fired home Brighton & Hove Albion second goal, from the penalty spot. Shortly before the interval, Gustavo Hamer struck for Sheffield United, with a left-foot strike inside the box. With 45 minutes already played, Will Osula scored the second goal for Chris Wilder's team, through a header.
After 52 minutes, João Pedro fired home for Roberto de Zerbi's team, from the penalty spot. With 67 minutes on the clock, forward completed the hat-trick, with a right-foot strike from outside the box. With this strike, forward reached 18th goals for the season. With 90 minutes already on the clock, Danny Welbeck wrapped things up, with a right-foot shot inside the penalty area.
Thanks to this result, Brighton & Hove Albion are through to the next round of the competition. With regard to the next fixture, Roberto de Zerbi's team visit Wolverhampton.
