Premier League 2: Blackburn Rovers humbled on home turf by West Ham

West Ham overcame Blackburn Rovers, 1x3, on Saturday, in a game related to matchweek 15 of Premier League 2. Coming into the contest, Mike Sheron's team came from three wins, and Steve Potts's team came from a draw.

After 21 minutes, Dominik Biniek opened the scoring for Blackburn Rovers. In the 34th minute, Luizão fired home for West Ham. With 40 minutes on the clock, Lewis Orford fired home Steve Potts's team second goal.

After seeing his second yellow card in the closing stages of the game, Jay Haddow was sent off and left Mike Sheron's team with 10-man. In stoppage time, George Earthy netted the final goal of the game.

After the result West Ham are 2nd in the table, with 33 points, while Blackburn Rovers sit 15th place, with 17 points. With regard to the next fixture, Steve Potts's team will host Fulham, whilst Mike Sheron's team will play away against Nottingham Forest.
