Samoa get the better of Tonga

Samoa edged out Tonga in a win on Wednesday, 1-4, in a match relating to the Grp.A of the OFC Nations Cup. Both Tonga's national team and Samoa's national team played their first game in the competition. Nathan Viliamu made a great performance with 2 goals.

The opening goal was scored by Dilo Tumua after 11 minutes, from the penalty spot. Dilo Tumua reaching the landmark of five goals for the season. Shortly before the interval, Nathan Viliamu scored the second goal for Samoa.

With 61 minutes on the clock, Samoa's national team increased their lead with a goal from midfielder. In the final minutes of the game, Ethan Stowers doubled the lead for Ravinesh Kumar's team. Deep into added time, Kulisitofa Kite wrapped things up.

In relation to forthcoming league matches, Samoa will host Cook Islands, while Tonga will play away against Cook Islands.
