The Carabao Cup draw was completed shortly after the conclusion of the quarter-finals to set up the final four.
Semi-final ties will be played home and away with the first legs to begin on the week beginning January 23rd and the second legs the following week.
Southampton will host Newcastle United in week one before travelling to St James’ Park in week two.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest will take on Manchester United at the City Ground in the first leg and then travel to Old Trafford for the second.
Interestingly, Forest’s shoot-out hero Dean Henderson is unlikely to play in that game unless he is given special permission by United – an unlikely circumstance.
