Erling Haaland scored in his first appearance in a Manchester City shirt as the Citizens beat Bayern Munich 1-0 in a match twice held up by a lightning storm in Wisconsin on Saturday evening.
The game had been delayed 15 minutes due to an electrical storm, but when it was restarted, it took just 12 minutes for Erling Haaland took to score his first goal in his City debut.
The Norwegian striker scored from close range after a whipped cross from Jack Grealish.
Shortly after Haaland's goal, the game was again delayed by 15 minutes, and entered a further delay of almost an hour, causing the referee to take the players off and allow the near-80,000 crowd to take refuge on the concourses.
As a consequence of the delays, with both teams having flights to catch following the final whistle, the game was reduced to 40 minutes per half with just a five-minute half-time interval.
The many interruptions seemed to have an impact in both teams football as they lacked to create any clear chances after the restart.
City will now fly back to England and will take on Liverpool in the Community Shield at Leicester's King Power Stadium on Saturday.
