Former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has reportedly resigned from the Lazio job.
Sarri joined the Biancocelesti from Juventus in 2021 with the club finishing fifth in the manager's first season and impressive second last year.
Currently, though, Lazio are ninth in Serie A – 11 points off the top four and have lost five of their last six games in all competitions.
According to Italian outlet Sport Mediaset, the 65-year-old handed in his resignation this morning with the relationship between the manager and club said to have cooled over the course of the season.
Tommaso Rocchi, Miroslav Klose, Cristian Brocchi, and Angelo Gregucci – all former Lazio players turned coaches – have been linked with the vacant post.
